  2. I purchased the 1000W version of this generator to provide occasional power to my cabin. My expectation was to use this to power lights and recharge cell phones, etc. I was pretty happy with it for the first few hours of use. It was alittle loud but not bad. It started right up and kept running. Then after about 5 hours of use the fuel line detached from the filter. I put it back on but noticed the clamp and hose seemed pretty flimsy. After another 5 hours or so of use, the generator would only run for 20 minutes before stalling. It would restart after resting for 15 minutes and this cycle would continue with progressively less run time (10 minutes, 5 minutes, 2 minutes, etc) until the generator refused to run at all. I decided to return it for a refund. Now I’m in the market for a Yamaha, Honda or other quality product. I’ll be avoiding these bargain generators.

  3. This came via UPS and the package was still intact. Upon removal I found the primer bulb loose in the box. However based upon prior reviews I found out it was an easy fix to screw it back on. The generator seems to be put together very well. I’m anxious to start it in the spring to see how it performs. Great price on Amazon.

  4. I bought the Honeywell HW2000i after careful reviews. Yes, you get what you pay for. I could have bought a quieter Honda for 300-400 more, however, this generator performs great. Sure it’s not as quiet as the Honda, but for less than $500, it does the job for me. I followed the instructions carefully for first time operation and it started on the second pull. I have been using a 1500 Watt heater for testing. It runs great with the heater on full. Left it on for 30 minutes. Sure it geats louder with more load, but all generators do. I can carry it around and it will server me well! Great 2000 Watts for the money.

  5. HARDLY A TOP OF THE LINE GENERATOR. IT’S JUST “OK”, BARELY ADEQUATE. BASICLY, IT’S JUST ANOTHER CHINESE MADE PIECE OF CRAP. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. BUT IT WORKS FOR WHAT I BOUGHT IT FOR. I’LL BE SURPRISED IF IT LASTS MORE THAN A YEAR OR TWO.
