This is the first Silky saw I have owned, and its quality, compared with hardware-store pruning saws, has been a revelation. This thing really cuts! I use it for pruning and removal of tree limbs up to about 4″ diameter. The blade is rather thin and flexible, so you need to cut mainly on the pull stroke to keep from bending it. It has stayed as sharp as new for an entire summer. The blade cannot be sharpened, so you have to replace it if it gets dull, which I assume will happen eventually. The curved handle is quite comfortable, and even the included sheath works well. I can’t imagine a saw being much better than this one without being a light saber.
