I too purchased this gazebo and enjoyed it for about three weeks. We had the pleasure of both Hurricane’s Katrina and Rita in the last month. During Katrina many of the metal pieces bent and snapped in half. Because I enjoyed the gazebo so much I convinced my husband to repair it as best as he could. After putting the canopy back on and all of the other stuff Hurricane Rita came to visit us three days later. As the storm was still a half day away and it was only a tropical storm at the time it hit us, I thought I could wait until the morning to disassemble the pieces. Boy was I wrong! When I woke up in the morning it looked like a mangled scrap heap of metal. Just a 15 to 20mph wind took it right down. I having been asking my husband all week to repair it but after reading the other reviews I’m not going to bother. Our bulk trash pickup is next week. If anyone needs the canopy or mosquito netting [...] No stars.

I got this gazebo, and loved the style – and loved the price. I have a cement deck, and had it bolted down. Well, I live in South Florida, and Katrina took it’s toll on the gazebo (even though it hit south of my area, and was only a Category 1). One corner buckled from the force of the winds. I had tried to take the canopy off, but being that I was only 1 person, and didn’t have a ladder, I was unable to fully remove the top canopy. As a result, the canopy had some tears, but nothing too major. I haven’t tried to bend out the buckled corner (I’m afraid if I do that, it might snap). Other then that, I like the gazebo.

i bought this gazebo for our first house july 2009. The first set was missing holes so i exchanged it.5 or 6 months pregnant, i put it together myself. it has these nice shelves in each corner. i put 6 bricks in each one. gazebo lasted the summer, held up well to rain and very high winds. i kept begging my husband to take it apart for the winter, he didnt. it held up through a big snow storm, canopy still intact. i went out and used a stick to push snow off the roof/canopy. STILL STANDING. so i promise myself, the next day with tolerable weather i will take it apart. the nice day came and i forgot. so one light windy day in november, i look out the window and that gazebo was warped, buckled sideways on the ground and dead.

We have had this Gazebo for three years and it is very beautiful and a very good product. We love the outdoor room so much and spend alot of time in it-it is also great for parties. We bolted the frame to our deck and it has held up very well through some wicked Northern California rainstorms. I take all of the fabric off and leave the structure up in the winter. The first year I did not take it down before the storms came and I am sorry to say it ripped the canopy in several places which I repaired with iron on denim patches and it is barely noticeable. I learned my lesson however and take it inside for the winter every year now and it is still holding up well. I love that there are two separate tracks for the curtains and the netting, allowing you to move them independently for different arrangements, depending on the weather.
I would recommend this Gazebo to anyone but would say that you must bolt it down for best results.

I installed it to a cement patio with masonary screws, and haven’t had any trouble with wind damage.
The canopy material only lased for 2 years, and it’s hard to find a replacement, but Target shows one on their web site (but out of stock).
For the money, I think it’s a good deal. Have to make sure to secure it though, otherwise it (and all others) are like kites in the wind.
