How do you tell if it works? didn’t keep the stray cats out of the garage, and the resulting kittens, but then again is it supposed to work on cats.

It appears to work just fine for getting rid of mice, but the red light flashes and emits a small beeping/clicking sound. The one in the garage doesn’t bother us, but the one that meant to be used in the house was too annoying.
